Modelly Ltd ("Modelly", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal information described below. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@joinmodelly.com.
When you join the waitlist, we collect the details you submit — your name, email address, area, and the profile information relevant to your sign-up (for example, your professional specialism, or hair details if you're signing up as a model).
When you browse our site, we also collect some information automatically via cookies — see the Cookies section below for details, including how to control this.
We use your waitlist details to keep you updated about Modelly's launch, and — once live — to introduce professionals, models, and clients to one another based on the criteria you provide. Where we use analytics cookies (only with your consent), we use that information to understand how people use the site and to improve it.
Any health-related information you share in future (such as allergies or sensitivities) will only ever be used to inform the professional you're matched with, and only with your consent.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We use a small, essential cookie/local storage entry to remember your cookie preference itself — this is required for the site to function as intended and isn't optional.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (for example, which pages are most visited). This is only activated if you accept cookies via the banner shown when you first visit — if you reject or don't respond, Analytics does not run and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for joinmodelly.com and revisiting the site.
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run Modelly. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
Mailchimp — stores and manages waitlist sign-up details, and sends our email updates.
Google Analytics — processes site usage data, only if you've accepted analytics cookies.
Netlify — hosts our website.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK (for example, in the US). Where this happens, they do so under recognised legal safeguards for international data transfers.
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed to Modelly. You're in control of this at any time — you can unsubscribe using the link in any email we send you, or by emailing hello@joinmodelly.com, and we'll delete your data promptly once you do.
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to: access the information we hold about you; ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; ask for a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent (such as analytics cookies or marketing emails).
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@joinmodelly.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
We may update this policy as Modelly develops — particularly once the platform launches and matching becomes active. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
